In preparing this book, the author's aim has been to create a current and introductory level text to acquint readers with the core concepts that constitute the discipline of language attrition. Thus far, no book of this kind has been published in the Malaysian context. In fact, the issue of the English language for a book like this is also limited. This book was designed to be used in both undergraduate and graduate courses in linguistics, and as referrals or general reading.
